The Power of Automation: ICC's Recruitment and Onboarding Experiences

Recruitment and onboarding are critical steps in setting new employees up for success, but they can often be time-consuming and manual processes. At ICC, we strive to provide the best experience possible for new and potential employees, which is why we have turned to automation to improve our recruitment and onboarding processes.


The first impression is made during the recruitment stage, and our goal is to be as flexible as possible while providing timely communication. To achieve this, we offer candidates the option to participate in either a traditional phone interview or an asynchronous video interview at the initial stage of the recruitment process. Asynchronous video interviewing consists of the candidate answering a series of pre-determined questions on their own time and in their own space. This style of interviewing allows for increased flexibility for the candidate, as well as allowing Human Resources to progress candidates through our interview process more efficiently.


We have also worked to streamline the onboarding experience by automating new hire paperwork. By implementing digital forms and e-signature tools, new employees can complete all documents quickly without the need for a paper form. This not only simplifies and expedites the new hire paperwork process but also minimizes human error by eliminating the need for Human Resources to manually process the forms.


In addition to automating new hire paperwork, we utilize the digital onboarding experience provided by our Human Resources Information System. This includes a customizable experience for each new employee that guides them through necessary tasks and paperwork. Additionally, this allows new employees to directly make changes to their information in our system without needing to fill out a form.


By continuing to monitor ways to make the recruitment and onboarding processes more efficient, we have created a seamless experience for both new employees and our Human Resources team. At ICC, we want the experience to be positive for new employees and allow us to provide an engaging experience that will set the foundation for long-term employee success.
